Resolution of Expression of Concern

The former and current Publishers and Editors are jointly issuing a resolution to the expression of concern [Cell Physiol Biochem 2019;54:807, DOI: 10.33594/000000269] on the article “MicroRNA-196b Inhibits Cell Growth and Metastasis of Lung Cancer Cells by Targeting Runx2” [Cell Physiol Biochem 2017;43(2):757–767; DOI: 10.1159/000481559] by Xiaoxue Bai, Lin Meng, Huijie Sun, Zhuo Li, Xiufang Zhang, Shucheng Hua.

After publication of this article, concerns were raised about the integrity of some of the data presented in the article. Although authors did not initially respond to our correspondence within the given timeframe, they later provided the original data and images for the article. These have been reviewed by the editorial team and correspond to that images and data presented in the article. Authors have additionally repeated all Western Blot experiments and reconfirmed their findings. These images have been shared with the editorial team and are available from the authors upon request to the corresponding author.
