After the publication of this article, concerns were raised about the integrity of some of the data presented. The authors responded to our query and provided the raw data. This material was reviewed and found to reflect the data presented in the article.

Concurrently, the authors informed the journal that they commissioned a biotech company to complete some experiments. The authors state that the ATDC5 cells used by the company were contaminated and results can not be replicated. They also stated that statistical data for the apoptosis results were not correct. The authors requested retraction of the article as the conclusions of the article are considered to be invalid.
