Propose a Special Issue

Cellular Physiology and Biochemistry (CPB) publishes thematic Special Issues that bring together original research and reviews around a focused topic in cellular physiology, molecular biology, and biochemistry. We welcome proposals from established researchers interested in serving as Guest Editor for a Special Issue. Please review the guidance below before submitting your proposal.

What makes a strong proposal

A clearly defined, timely scientific topic within the journal's scope
A brief rationale explaining why the topic matters now
One or more qualified Guest Editors with a relevant publication record in the field
A realistic view of potential contributors and the expected number of articles

What happens after you submit

Our editorial office reviews all proposals
We may contact you for clarification or to discuss the scope further
Approved proposals proceed to a formal Guest Editor agreement and a call for papers
Submitting a proposal does not guarantee acceptance and does not constitute appointment as Guest Editor
