Retraction Statement

The authors of the article

Sun LQ, Guo GL, Zhang S, Yang LL, entitled
“Effects of MicroRNA-592-5p on Hippocampal Neuron Injury Following Hypoxic-Ischemic Brain Damage in Neonatal Mice - Involvement of PGD2/DP and PTGDR”
[Cell Physiol Biochem 2018;45(2):458-473, DOI: 10.1159/000486923]

have requested retraction on the following basis:

The authors continued to study miR-592-5p, but when they further verified the expression of miR-592-5p in hippocampal neurons of neonatal mice with hypoxic-ischemic brain injury, it was found that during the recovery process of hypoxic-ischemic brain injury in neonatal mice, when the animals were reared for a long time, miR-592-5p showed an upward trend and the level of brain injury was higher than that of the control group. This is contrary to their previous research conclusion, leading to the failure of the follow-up study. At the same time, they are also verifying the original experimental results. The authors decided to retract the manuscript, in order to avoid misleading other readers.
